The Future Games Show is a fairly new games event from GamesRadar, which holds several showcases throughout the year. The spring edition ran on 24 March 2022 and had quite a few exciting announcements in store. For example, that the fabulous Dorfromantik is finally done with its Early Access. There is also new info on the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the strategy RPG mix Sengoku Dynasty.

And of course, some completely new PC games were also revealed. We have summarised the most important reveals and trailers for you in case you missed the show. Have fun browsing!

All the major PC announcements from the Future Games Show

The Time I have Left

What was there to see? The Escape Adventure was re-announced during the show with a trailer. In this neon-coloured nightmare you have to escape in limited time – otherwise the monsters will get you. The release date is planned for an unspecified date in 2023.

Gun Jam

What was there to see? You’ve got rhythm in your blood? Then Gun Jam might be just your thing: The game combines music game and shooter, you shoot your way through the colourful levels to the beat of the soundtrack. It will soon be released for PC, a concrete release date is not yet known. The first gameplay was shown at the show:

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

What was there to see? The action adventure game was only recently revealed. You fight against monsters with magic, axe and musket – read all the details here in our preview of Flintlock. At the Future Games Show, the development team (the makers of Ashen, by the way) took a look behind the scenes and talked about the unusual setting and the main character.

Role-playing game with an open world: In Flintlock, you fight a god

Midnight Ghost Hunt

What was there to see? In Midnight Ghost Hunt, you are either ghost hunters – or ghosts. You compete in 4-vs-4 matches and use your special abilities to win. Hunters, for example, carry traps or weapons, while ghosts cleverly disguise themselves as everyday objects. We have already seen gameplay before, at the show there was now an atmospheric cinematic trailer, in which actually only the Ghostbusters soundtrack is missing.

Village Romance

What to see? The laid-back strategy game Dorfromantik has gained a bit of a cult following. Now a trailer announces great news for fans of the cosy hex-building: the game is finished and will leave Early Access on 28 April 2022 – it will then be available on Steam, Epic and GOG.

Alterborn

What was there to see? One of the promised world premieres at the Future Games Show revealed the new shooter Alterborn. Not too many details are in the announcement, so far we only know that it will be a third-person shooter with a sci-fi setting and roguelike elements. Check out the (Steam) page for a few snippets of gameplay.

Sengoku Dynasty

What was there to see? A mix of life sim and building game that transports you to medieval Japan where you build your own village and guide it through many adversities. Sengoku Dynasty lets you play either solo or in co-op, plus a sandbox mode awaits you. Here you can see the announcement trailer from the Future Games Show.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

What was there to see? A new trailer focuses on the iconic villains from a galaxy far, far away. And yes, Shirtless Kylo Ren is there, of course. The release of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is imminent: starting April 5, 2022, the journey begins.

The Cycle: Frontiers

What was there to see? In a developer video, the creative director behind the shooter hopeful 2022 speaks out. The Cycle: Frontier has already proven to be an exciting multiplayer shooter in the closed beta, as you can read in our big preview.

The Cycle: Frontier could give Escape from Tarkov serious competition

Forever Skies

What was there to see? Exploring the post-apocalypse aboard an airship: This is the survival adventure Forever Skies. Reminds us quite a bit of Subnautica, but with a very different setting. Three minutes of gameplay were shown at the show:

Expedition Zero

What was there to see? This first-person perspective horror game is set in deepest Siberia. There you must not only brave the merciless cold and darkness, but also uncover secret research – and escape a bloodthirsty forest monster. Expedition Zero is now available for PC, here you can see the spooky launch trailer:

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong

What was there to see? No, there is still no sign of life from Bloodlines 2. But instead, the Epic-exclusive Swansong turns out to be a surprisingly exciting role-playing game that takes you into the dark vampire universe. The graphic style and the gameplay elements shown are very different from the classic VTM. Just watch the new video to see for yourself.
