This week it’s train ahead with the latest free game of the week in the Epic Games Store. In Unrailed you have to build a train track together in co-op or multiplayer with a team in front of a moving train. And you do this “on the fly”, so to speak, while the train keeps moving. Everything so that it doesn’t derail, because that’s how you get the most points. From Thursday, 04 August until 11 August 2022, you can get Unrailed for free in the (Epic Games Store) and keep it forever.

The big fun in the train and construction simulator of a different kind is the procedurally generated levels. Through these, all kinds of obstacles await you in Unrailed, which you must overcome by building new tracks with collected resources. Each track is different and has its own pitfalls.

Developer Indoor Astronaut has brought together two seemingly incombinable elements here. Rogue like and trains. Gradually upgrading your train, you manage to complete more worlds in a row in co-op while dodging deadly track sections and mastering random encounters with villagers.

Cooperation and coordination between you and your friends is everything here as resources are limited and some important tools are only available once. But you can bring all kinds of different wagons to your train, which give you practical bonuses when building and collecting. Would you like a nuclear engine in wagon 14, next to the dining car?

Unrailed is perfect for a fun multiplayer game after work, where you always make progress and enjoy the beautifully designed worlds. A train game with a difference is the horror-like Choo-Choo Charles, announced at Summer Games Fest.
