Also this week, Epic Store is giving away two excellent games that are perfect for Halloween

Every week, the Epic Games Store presents one or more games for free. This week, just in time for Halloween, you can snag two exciting titles for freethat perfectly fit the spooky mood of the upcoming holiday

The Evil Within 2

(Genre: Horror – Release: Oct 13, 2017 – Developer: Tango Gameworks)

In The Evil Within 2 you once again take on the role of protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, who embarks on an oppressive journey to save his daughter, who was believed dead. Three years after the events at Beacon Mental Hospital, Sebastian is given a second chance to save his child by the mysterious organization MOBIUS.

The game’s dark, disturbing world is open world in the second installment, but still features a nerve-wracking linear storyline.

Tandem: A Tale of Shadows

(Genre: Puzzle Adventure – Release: October 21, 2021 – Developer: Monochrome Paris)

Tandem: A Tale of Shadows takes you to 19th century London, where you control ten-year-old Emma and her trusty teddy bear, Fenton. Together you’ll investigate the mysterious disappearance of the famous boy Thomas Kane.

Through inventive gameplay that allows switching between two characters in two dimensions (up/down & sideways) as well as the use of light and shadow, puzzles are solved and platform challenges are mastered.

The game’s unusual aesthetics, as well as the lovingly designed Victorian environment, make Tandem a visually pretty adventure that’s perfect for all of you who like to get a dark, but not too creepy, game for Halloween.

Or will you stay away from your computer, go to costume parties, or watch a seasonal horror movie on the couch? Feel free to drop us a line in the comments!
