Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 5 at E3. We show you the gameplay trailer and reveal what’s new

The E3 show of Bethesda and Microsoft was full of highlights – also for racing game fans! Because the currently best racing game is finally getting a successor: Forza Horizon 5 was officially announced with an impressive trailer and will be released later this year. We have collected the most important information for you in a nutshell.

What we already know about Forza Horizon 5

When will Forza Horizon 5 be released? It is scheduled to release on November 9, 2021, for PC and Xbox One as well as Series X/S. The title will be included in Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Where is Forza 5 set? After the last part of the series was set in Great Britain, this time the drivers are heading to Central America, Mexico to be precise. There you can once again expect varied locations and environments, such as deserts, jungles, beaches, and of course villages and cities. There’s even supposed to be a volcano.

What new features does Forza Horizon 5 offer?

– New War Mode: The new game mode is called Expeditions and focuses on exploring the open world. There you will also be able to meet many interesting characters.
– Editor: In the so-called Events Lab you can create your own races, mini-games, challenges and more.
– Forza Link: The new AI assistant recognizes the online status of you and other players. This will help you link with others faster and suggest appropriate activities.
What about Forza Motorsport? According to Phil Spencer, the developers at Turn 10 Studios are currently working on Forza Motorsport 8.
