So far, Enshrouded has only received minor updates with bug fixes and smaller features. This is set to change in the coming months

The survival game Enshrouded has been available in Early Access since the end of January. In the first few weeks after its release, the developers primarily focused on bug fixes and collecting feedback. However, the game is soon to receive a lot of new content that players have requested. This is now revealed in the newly published roadmap for 2024

What’s in the roadmap?

On Steam, the developers reveal what their plans are for the rest of the year. Many of the changes announced are based on feedback from the community, which was able to vote on new features on the official website

The following infographic lists all the planned new features. However, the developers point out that some things could still change here. For example, it is possible that the development of a new feature may take longer than initially expected.

The roadmap is divided into two sections Most of the changes are scheduled to appear with the next few updates , including:

  • Repeatable quests:&nbspOnce a quest has been completed, it is no longer available to other players on the same server. This will change soon.
  • New region: Until the full release, the world of Enshrouded will be significantly larger. A new mountain region will be added next.
  • Weather system: So far the sun is always shining in Enshrouded, but soon clouds will gather and rain will fall.
  • New enemies and bosses: There isn’t much variety in the bosses yet, but you will encounter new threats in the future. Enemies will also go on patrol.
  • Animal husbandry: The animals in Enshrouded can currently only be hunted, but in future you will also be able to keep them on pasture.
  • Gameplay settings: What exactly is meant by this is not explained further. They are probably difficulty settings for battles or resource depletion rates.
  • Steam Deck Support: If you want to play Enshrouded on the go, you will soon be able to download the survival game to your Steam Deck.
  • Fixes and technical improvements: Among other things, performance improvements, bug fixes, interface changes and more have been announced.

The second section lists new features that will not be released until later in the year for example:

  • Water: Have you ever noticed that there are no lakes and rivers in Enshrouded? Waters will be added via update.
  • New biomes: In addition to the mountains, other new areas will be added.
  • Multiplayer features: In future, you will be able to visit other players’ bases and even share them with them. It has also been announced that you will also be able to share gameplay experiences&nbsp.

What do you think of the new roadmap for Enshrouded? Are there exactly the new features you wanted most? Will your desired changes for the survival game come later? Or are they perhaps not included at all? Let us know what you think in the comments!
