Dr. Disrespect was banned from Twitch – permanently. So far there’s been no communication as to why he had to leave. Now, for the first time, he has made himself known.
“Honestly, we just don’t know. I was in a state of shock. Imagine coming into work and the doors locked.”

Those are the words of Guy Beahm, whom many know better than Dr. Disrespect, to the Washington Post.

Twitch has yet to officially give a statement on the superstar’s permanent ban. He had an exclusive contract with the platform and his account has been unavailable since June 27.

In an interview with PC Gamer, he also brought some clarity to his future: “I can say that I’m not going back to Twitch. That’s it.” In the interview he also stated that he could not address certain things from his legal point of view and that legal action against the ban was not excluded.

When the interviewer talked about a possible connection with controversial statements about coronavirus, “the Doc” objected and explained that the statements could probably not be a reason for the ban. When he wanted to elaborate further, his advisor intervened and repeated the known points about the cause around the ban.

This leaves the mystery of the ban of Dr. Disrepect unsolved. The statements made in the interviews also make it clear that no decision has yet been made regarding a future home for the streamer.
