The Big Gap in the Schedule: Is Blizzard Hiding a New Game?
It’s certainly very suspicious that Blizzard is taking such a break on the main stage of all places. It’s more likely that Blizzard will use this one-hour gap to unveil something completely new that’s been kept under wraps until now. Of course, there’s already plenty of speculation in the community:
- A new StarCraft?Rumors have been circulating for months that Blizzard wants to revive the franchise with a shooter.
- A newWarcraft?Strategy fans are hoping that a new game set in the Warcraft universe might be unveiled. Blizzard has also paid little attention to this franchise in recent years.
- New WoW Classic?There have already been leaks showing “Classic Plus” as a new mode for WoW. Perhaps Blizzard will use BlizzCon to reveal information about Project Camelot itself?
It remains to be seen how Blizzard will fill the gap and whether there will be any other unannounced surprises in store during the event. Fans certainly have a lot to look forward to.
