Friends of the building strategy game Anno 1800 by Ubisoft can rejoice, because an exciting innovation is already waiting for you in the next update. The long-awaited mod support will finally become reality. A comprehensive integration of mods via mod.io will soon be possible. The developers are making good on their promise and are continuously expanding mod support, as was originally planned.

Players can look forward to a wide range of possibilities that will be integrated into the game through a user-friendly in-game menu. Players have already responded enthusiastically in the first phase of the mod’s introduction. Ubisoft and German studio Blue Byte called on the community to submit their favourite mods after the (support of mod.io) was announced on the blog.

The result was overwhelming: within a very short time, more than 100 mods were submitted, offering a wide range of customisations. From alternative building designs and adapted production chains to extensions for the harbour and brand new maps – players can look forward to numerous improvements for the popular construction simulation.

As early as 22 August, a Tuesday, the mod library from mod.io will be available via an intuitive interface. A practical in-game menu will allow players to explore the available mods at will. If a mod is liked, it can be downloaded effortlessly.
