Horror in your own home

We’re talking about the 2019 horror game The Beast Inside Among other things, you take on the role of CIA cryptanalyst Adam, who has moved to a lonely country house with his family to decipher an important military code.

There he finds a book that opens a gateway into the nightmares of a former occupant of the house  Not even the fighting power of the CIA can protect him and his family from the horror that threatens them from then on. Only his trusty revolver and his razor-sharp mind can save him from this predicament. You can see a trailer here:

Two protagonists, double the horror

As mentioned at the beginning, in The Beast Inside you take turns controlling two protagonists: the aforementioned Adam and the author of the diary. As the game progresses, the two narrative threads become increasingly intertwined until they finally threaten to collide

You move through your country house and its surroundings from a first-person perspective and try to keep yourself and your family alive. But this proves rather difficult, as you are constantly threatened by grotesque, supernatural beings. By solving puzzles, running for your life and grabbing your revolver, you try to find a way out of this nightmare

You have until February 6, 2024to get The Beast Inside (on GOG).

What do you think of the horror game The Beast Inside? Have you heard of the title before or considered getting it? Have you perhaps already played it and if so, did it scare you?
