Season 1 is about to begin in Diablo IV, with Battlepass available from 20 July.

Diablo IV is barely (almost) two months old and players are already waiting in the wings for the first season. After many broken recordsn, such as the revenue of more than 666 million U$ dollars or the 38-digit damage peaks in the game, it is finally time to offer the Nephalem a new adventure. In addition to fresh content, the next update will also include a Battlepass that can be upgraded (for real money) in order to get more rewards more quickly.

The Season of Degenerations

Content on offer to players includes new traits, equipment and even a new boss battle, alongside a new quest series where you will work with a former priest in an attempt to unravel the origins of the corruption.  Varshan the Consumed welcomes you to the Tunnel of Wickedness, where you can uncover the secrets of the Plague.

Two Battlepass variants

Typically for the season, there are two Battlepass variants. The first is the free Battlepass, in which you can collect legendary aspects, titles and transmogrifications during your journey through Sanctuary. You can unlock these via 27 levels, while the premium Battlepass gives you 63 levels. In addition to the extra levels, you will receive exclusive armour sets, a mount with armour and even 20 level jumps and an emote if you purchase the “faster” Premium Battlepass.
