Developer Raven Software is nerfing popular weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. This will affect the Season 5 Reloaded meta in the popular Battle Royale.

One of the biggest weapon adjustments in Call of Duty: Warzone is coming. For Wednesday, Raven Software has revealed the patch notes via Twitter. According to the developer’s additional post, these are all the changes in this update.

Extremely popular weapons that have proven to be powerful and flexible in Warzone have to take a beating in some cases. The dominant assault rifle Krig 6 has to accept increased recoil and can also only boast a 1.3 multiplier at the neck area.

The biggest nerf is probably the OTs 9 submachine gun. Because the maximum damage has been reduced from 34 to 31, the Time to Kill is now significantly worse. This was also the goal of Raven Software, in order to adapt the weapon, which is sometimes too easy to play, to the average and to create more weapon variation. In addition, the recoil has been increased and the neck multiplier has been reduced considerably.

Meanwhile, slight adjustments were made to the AK-47, Tactical Rifle Charlie, Light Machine Gun Alpha and the QBZ-83 assault rifle. The damage of the TEC-9 was reduced somewhat. This also applies to the Argentine assault rifle FARA 83, which should, however, remain balanced due to improved multipliers.
