The clues about the nuclear end of Verdansk are hardening. On Twitter, a well-known leaker named ZestyCoDLeaks came forward and reported audio files that point to a “plague event” that will end the second season.

For example, one of the lines reads, “Verdansk is overrun, take it back.” Such hints point to a similar event, as was the case with Haunting Verdansk and its associated zombie mode.
However, it’s entirely possible that the plague will end up leaving a significantly larger mark on the map. If the nuclear missiles really do hit, as many suspect, a new Warzone map doesn’t seem far off.

Nuclear disaster thanks to the zombies?
The fact that there are nuclear weapons on the warzone map has not been a secret for a while. According to the report, they might be set in motion soon. The reason for this could be the zombies that arrived in Verdansk with the ship “Vodianoy”.
If the undead spread on the map, there will be no other choice but to literally blow up Verdansk. This should happen by the end of the second season at the latest.
Info about the new map
As you can see in the Battle Pass, Season 3 will probably start on April 22. According to the report, that’s also the start date for the new map, which is supposed to take up a battlefield setting from the 1980s.
