In addition to a new playlist update, you can earn double EXP for your Battle Pass and participate in daily challenges over the holidays.

The new update for Call of Duty: Cold War and Warzone is here and brings you a whole bunch of new features that should keep you from getting bored over the holidays. We have summarized all information about the new playlist update, the daily challenges, double XP event and patch notes.

Daily Challenges

Every 24 hours, you can choose three daily challenges to face in the challenge menu. If you successfully complete them, you will receive some bonus XP to help you level up or jump to the next prestige level.

If you have chosen three daily challenges, but are not completely satisfied with your choice, you can change the challenge. The good thing about this is that if you change your mind again, the progress you’ve already made won’t be lost; instead, you’ll pick up exactly where you left off.

You can complete the challenges in Cold War multiplayer, Zombies mode and in the Warzone.

Double Battle Pass XP

Since December 22nd you get double experience points for your Battle Pass when playing Cold War multiplayer or Zombies mode. From the 25th of December (presumably from 7pm German time) Warzone will also join the event.

The double XP event will end for all modes on December 28 at 7pm German time. It is important to note that this is the XP for the Battle Pass, XP bonuses for your level and the prestige system you will receive through the weekly challenges.

Here are all the key dates again:

  • December 22 – December 28, 7 p.m.: Double Battle Pass XP for Cold War multiplayer and Zombies mode.
  • December 25 (probably 7 p.m.) – December 28, 7 p.m.: Double Battle Pass XP for Warzone

New Playlist Update

From now on you can play two new playlists in CoD Cold War:

  • Raid 24/7: the Black Ops 2 classic is back and is also playable until December 24 for anyone currently participating in the free multiplayer phase for Cold War. Hardcore Raid 24/7 is also available via Quickplay.
  • Face Off: Face off against your opponents in 3vs3 matches in Team Death Match, Domination and Kill Confirmed on the four new Gunfight maps. The special feature: Scorestreaks are deactivated and all timers are shorter.
