Release: When does Season 4 start?
Although there is still no officially confirmed release date for Season 4 of Battlefield 2042, we can already say with great certainty that it will start at the end of February, probably on 28 February 2023. At least then, if there are no major problems.
For one thing, Season 3 ends there, which is supposed to last exactly twelve weeks, just like the previous seasons. On the other hand, there have already been leaks that set February 28 as the start date!
Map: Will there be a new map?
Yes, there is a new map coming with Season 4. Well-known Battlefield insider and dataminer discovered details of the new map called Flashpoint in the game files back in late January:

The map is set in South Africa and offers some exciting places to fight: A solar substation, a reactor maintenance facility, a construction tunnel and an ore mine. You can see the first images in the embedded tweet from Temporyal.
Weapons: What new weapons are coming with Season 4?
Also from dataminer Temporyal comes the info on the new weapons and gadgets, of which three are currently known.
RM 68 AR: The assault rifle in bullpup design is based on the real RM277 from General Dynamics. It relies on 6.8 mm polymer case ammunition and offers high precision thanks to its longer barrel length. Its most recognisable feature, however, is probably the permanently integrated silencer.

AC9: The compact submachine gun, based on the APC9 from Brügger & Thomet, is said to be versatile.
SPH Explosive Launcher: This new gadget fires explosive charges that stick to surfaces and explode after a short time. Presumably, the gadget will only be available for Assault classes.
Specialists: Who is the new specialist?
The new specialist Camila Bianco has also already been leaked: The Spaniard is a true stealth expert. She doesn”t trigger motion-based gadgets and can”t be targeted by Boris” sentry gun.
Her X6 infiltration device creates a zone that blocks spotting info and incoming lock-ons. So if your enemy relies too much on radar or the HUD, you”ll have an easy time with it – perhaps even in combination with the silenced new RM 68 rifle.

This Close Assault Vehicle has a selection of armaments and equipment that makes it ideal for close quarters combat against soft targets.
It”s probably based on the 🇫🇮 Finnish Patria AMV.

Vehicles: Will there be new vehicles?
Yes, so far exactly one new vehicle is known through data mining:
The CAV-Crawler CAV stands for Close Assault Vehicle, which makes the light tank particularly suitable for battles in confined spaces. Due to its armament (a 40 mm anti-infantry gun), the CAV crawler is particularly well suited against infantry.
