A surprise PS5 patch prepares the game for the Complete Edition and introduces the “Beauty of Yotei” exploration mode as well as new trophies.
If you’re a player of Ghost of Yotei and happen to turn on your PlayStation 5 today, a small but big surprise awaits you. An update for the game weighing in at just under 30 GB is available for download. However, this isn’t an early release of the “Echoes of Sekigahara” expansion—it’s simply an update that’s likely preparing the game for the Complete Edition, which will also include the DLC.
Travel leisurely through ancient northern Japan
If the new patch is 29 GB, what could possibly be in it? Good question! As fans report, after the update, it will be possible to access a mode called ”Beauty of Yotei.” This mode is said to allow players to explore the world at a leisurely pace. There, you can move through various locations with slow, cinematic camera work. This lets you soak up the music, the atmosphere, and the beauty of the world and the setting.
This can definitely be worth it, as the landscape around Mount Yotei looks truly wonderful. It’s nice to be able to enjoy an interesting culture in a historic setting amidst the natural beauty of northern Japan without the pressure of missions or action-packed gameplay.
Another feature the patch is set to introduce is a transmog system. This lets you apply the stats of other items to weapons and armor, allowing you to keep the look you like best without sacrificing an upgrade.
The trophies for the “Echoes of Sekigahara” DLC and the “Most Wanted” mode are also already live. This means quite a few things are already in place for the major releases awaiting Ghost of Tsushima players.
The Complete Edition will be released on October 1, along with the Most Wanted mode and the new expansion. So you won’t have to wait much longer for your next wave of content.
