Nvidia has commented on a new report about discontinued graphics cards.

2026 is shaping up to be a really bad year for gaming hardware. The memory crisis is already affecting a wide range of markets.

However, a new report claiming that Nvidia has retired the RTX 5070 Ti has now been denied.

The RTX 5070 Ti will continue to be produced

What happened? Recently,  rumors that Nvidia had put the RTX 5070 Ti into “end-of-life” status due to ongoing supply problems, meaning it would no longer be produced.

This would also fit in well with reports that the tech manufacturer is focusing on the respective top models in the individual VRAM classes when producing new “RTX 5000” GPUs in order to maximize sales.

The RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti, which were initially spurned by many, are also set to come more into focus, as they are comparatively inexpensive with “only” 8 GB of VRAM. Given the current market situation, the discontinuation of individual models would come as a surprise to very few.

However, in the case of the RTX 5070 Ti, the news is not true. Nvidia itself has denied the reports in a statement. The company writes:

Demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is high, and memory supply is limited. We continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and are working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability.“ Nvidia therefore acknowledges that the memory crisis is affecting production. However, it remains unclear whether this will result in certain models being prioritized. At least so far, no model in the ”RTX 5000″ series has been completely discontinued.

How the graphics card market will develop in the coming weeks and months can only be speculated at this point. What is clear is that production will become more expensive due to the rise in RAM prices, while margins are likely to shrink – and prices rise, as is already the case in some instances.
