This week, the Epic Games Store is once again offering two free games. We’ll tell you for whom the two new gifts are worthwhile
Time is racing. It feels like this year has barely begun and now it’s already mid-June again. If you want to really sink into the frenzy of speed, then it might be worth taking a look at the latest batch of free games in the Epic Games Store.
As every week, the Steam competitor is once again giving away free games. This time there are two titles on the list: With Redout 2 you can expecta breakneck sci-fi racerand with Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realmsa cozy clicker gamewith lots of D&D heroes. We have the details for you
Free game 1: Redout 2
(Genre:Racing game –Developer:34BigThings –Release:June 2022)
Inspired by genre classics such asWipeout,F-ZeroorStar Wars Episode 1: Racerthe arcade racerRedout 2puts you behind the wheel of deadly rocket racers that could have sprung straight out of a Tron movie with their neon tails.
In futuristic sci-fi races at adventurous speeds, you have to do everything you can to outmaneuver your opponents and finish first – without ending up as a wrecked spaceship on the side of the track. There are no weapons or items like in Mario Kart, Redout is all about speed and your reaction time.
Witha total of three game modes(arcade mode, online multiplayer and a career mode with over 200 events), the game is quite extensive. Redout 2 relies on the fourth generation of the Unreal Engine for its visuals. You can see a few screenshots right here:
Free game 2: Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms

Idle Campions of the Forgotten Realms is a hack-and-slash in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. You recruit new party members to defeat hordes of advancing monsters and collect gold and rewards. And the best thing is: you don’t have to do much
On a campaign map, you select the areas and missions you want to play next. The actual gameplay then runs pretty much by itself, as is typical of the genre. The different maps not only offer visual variety, but also influence the special abilities of your heroes
By the way:Since Idle Campions, likeBaldur’s Gate 3belongs to the D&D cosmos, you can also recruit heroes from the popular Larian role-playing game in the idler, including cleric Shadowheart or the Githyanki warrior Lae’zel.
Admittedly: Epic doesn’t have the really big hit this week. However, we can hardly expect to be constantly gifted with top-class AAA titles in the range of aDragon Age: Inquisitionlike a few weeks ago.
