If you want to be part of the potential shooter revolution, you can sign up for the playtests from developer Mountaintop

Developer Mountaintop Studios is promising nothing less than the next evolutionary step in tactical multiplayer shooters with a new game. Find out for yourself what’s behind this big announcement next Saturday

Playtest on Steam

The aforementioned shooter, which incidentally does not yet have a name, will hold another test run on January 20, 2024  This starts at 17:00 German time and is over again at 02:00 at night. To take part, you have to register on the official   website.

You must first log in with your Steam account, then you will need your Discord data. Once both accounts are linked to the site, you will need to fill out a form and sign an NDA, i.e. a non-disclosure agreement.

How does this shooter play?

No one is allowed to tell you that at the moment, because the aforementioned NDA prohibits all playtesters from publishing gameplay in any form, let alone talking about the game

There’s only one way to find out which gameplay mechanics will completely blow your mind, as Game Director Lee Horn promises in the following video: play it yourself.

The video from August 2023 only reveals a rather colorful comic look and a brief look at some maps reminiscent of Counter-Strike or Valorant&nbsp.

Minimum sporting requirements

Your PC should not be particularly old. In addition to at least 16 GB RAM, the shooter also requires a processor such as an i7-9700k or a Ryzen 7 3700X. The graphics card should be at least an RTX 2080 or RX 6700 XT.

Broadband internet connection goes without saying for a multiplayer shooter, a fourth-generation NVMe SSD with 512 GB of free storage space is perhaps not quite so self-evident. In the course of development, however, the game will be better optimized to reduce the minimum requirements

Shooter experts among themselves

As Horn explains in the video linked above, the team consists of developers who have already worked on many great genre representatives.

These include Counter-Strike, Valorant, Halo, Apex Legends, Overwatch and Battlefield That at least sounds like a lot of potential, and it remains to be seen whether Mountaintop can realize it during development. However, it has not yet been announced when we will find out more about the shooter
