New trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne shows off spunky vampire slasher action in France

Following the success of the animated series “Castlevania “, which aired on Netflix between 2017 and 2021, fans can now expect a spin-off from the “Castlevania” universe On 28 September, “Castlevania: Nocturne” will be released, a sequel to the dark fantasy adventure with new characters and a new plot location. Netflix recently released a final trailer for the series, after a teaser had previously stoked anticipation.

In “Castlevania: Nocturne” the action takes place during the French Revolution in 1792. The main characters are Judge Belmont, the last survivor of the vampire hunter clan of the Belmonts, and the revolutionary Maria Renard. The trailer also features the sorceress Annette, and it has been confirmed that the vampire queen Erzsebet Bárthory (voiced by Franka Potente) will play a role. The series is based on the Castlevania games “Rondo of Blood” and “Symphony of the Night”.

Netflix describes the series as “a compelling story of love and loss that brings the eerily beautiful adventures of Castlevania to an exciting new setting.” It also features a never-before-told origin story of Judge Belmont, one of the franchise’s most beloved characters.

Fans already have the opportunity to experience a digital world premiere of the first episode one day before the official launch. On 27 September at 6 p.m. it will be broadcast on the (Twitch) and (YouTube) channels of Netflix  In the process, viewers can get a glimpse of “Castlevania: Symphony of the Night”, which served as the inspiration for “Nocturne”.
