Continuing gameplay motivation is essential for many titles. Remnant 2 now takes it to the extreme with the mix of pre-made secrets and the randomizer.

In July, PC gamers will finally be able to enjoy Remnant 2. The mix of rogue- and souls-like will be released on July 25, 2023.

Reviewers, developers and console players have already had the opportunity to spend over 400 hours in the dark world. Now designer and developer Ben Cureton has come forward to say that despite this, no one has seen 100 per cent of the game.

How can that be?

Those who have already spent some time with Remnant 2 or its predecessor will certainly immediately point to the randomizer. And this assumption is not unfounded, since everything, even the beginning of the game is decided by chance. While it is not entirely innocent, the randomly generated worlds and scenarios are not what is meant.

Curton get in touch via Twitter:

Nobody has seen or received 100 percent of what Remnant 2 has to offer. I’m talking hardcore players with 400+ hours of play, reviewers with early access, and even our devs. Nobody.

Remnant 2 has secrets within secrets within secrets.

We’ve made sure that getting all the Achievements is player-friendly, but that you’ll be rewarded with more and more discoveries long after you’ve done so. And we’ve got even more in store!

The interplay between an insane number of convoluted secrets and the randomiser means that it takes forever to see everything. After all, the stars have to be aligned correctly so that you discover the right secret in the right run. And who knows how long it will take for it to reappear?

What do you think about the fact that it is very luck-dependent whether you encounter a secret? Does it motivate you to play the game several times? We’re very interested in your opinion, so feel free to write it in the comments!
