A group of top international footballers have measured their gaming skills in a Warzone tournament. We show you the most exciting plays!

While all of Europe looks ahead to the postponed UEFA EURO 2020, which will be played from mid-June 2021, a number of professional footballers got together for a slightly different tournament.

Out of a total of 63 participants, 21 top European footballers competed in the Call of Duty: Warzone tournament organised by 433. The tournament was played in 3-person squad mode, which each professional footballer was allowed to put together individually.

Victory despite tragic start

The Warzone Victory ultimately went to Spanish defender Sergio Reguilón and his teammate, who beat all other teams on the Verdansk ’84 map. And this despite forgetting to pull his parachute at the beginning of the round and only being able to buy it back in the middle of the game.

Here you can see the best clips of the tournament:

These players were among those involved:

Davinson Sanchez (Colombia)
João Pedro (Brazil)
Alejandro Grimaldo (Portugal)
Loris Karius (Germany)
Raul Jiménez (Mexico)
Ayoze Pérez (Spain)
Arthur Melo (Brazil)
Sergio Reguilón (Spain)
Nicolás Tagliafico (Argentina)
Giovanni Simeone (Argentina)
Pedro Neto (Portugal)
Andreas Pereira (Brazil)

The great spectacle became a viral hit due to the action-packed battles between the footballers. The highlight of the match was when Reguilón used a sniper to shoot out the last player of the second-placed squad of Neto, a Brazilian goalkeeper.

The event reached a crowd of football fans, who were especially buoyed by the individual streams of the professional footballers and the leading football community of the organiser 433.
