Thorin causes a huge stir on Twitter with just one tweet, sparking an argument with CS:GO star s1mple.

The CS:GO highlight PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is currently underway, where the best Counter-Strike teams in the world compete. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo is also competing there together with Imperial Esports. Polarising caster Duncan “Thorin” Shields caused a stir on Twitter after their last match with a statement on Thursday, prompting even star player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev to weigh in promptly.

Imperial Esports won their match against forZe on Thursday. FalleN finished the match with the best rating in the round. However, it seems that the caster Thorin, who is not among the talents of the major event, didn’t really like that. He raged on Twitter, “FalleN is the most overrated player in CS:GO history.”

Thereupon s1mple reacted just a little later, not agreeing at all with Thorin’s statement. An argument ensued between the top player and the caster. The Ukrainian apparently doesn’t think much of the Brit: “When I finish my career, I’ll tell you what a piece of shit you really are. Get a job, idiot.”

S1mple’s response is also getting a lot of encouragement from the CS:GO community on Twitter on Friday. With this exchange of blows, the NAVI player, who is the reigning Major Champion with his team, has earned his Brazilian citizenship, according to Reddit user “Honeygadget”. However, Thorin is no stranger to controversy either and is known for his provocative statements to get attention. He is also not a caster at the PGL Major, which is why his analyses can currently be found more often on social media.
