The “Call of Duty Endowment” helps soldiers after their military service. It has already been able to help quite a few veterans.

The organisation (Call of Duty Endowment) announced on Wednesday that 16,138 veterans have already found meaningful employment through the programme in 2021. With the campaign, Activision is supporting unemployed soldiers.

The foundation was co-founded as a non-profit programme in 2009 by current Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick. The organisation supports soldiers from the US and the UK to return to civilian life after military service and creates jobs for veterans to do so. The foundation aims to provide jobs for 100,000 soldiers by 2024.

Despite the pandemic, the organisation has stuck to its 2021 goal and helped over 16,000 veterans settle into a regular life. The collaboration with Call of Duty was instrumental in this. Through the sale of item packs in CoD: Black Ops Cold War, donations were raised to support the organisation. The popular Battle Royale Warzone also actively helped with the foundation.

With the help of the sales of the packs, Call of Duty Endowment has been able to provide full-time jobs to more than 5,500 veterans. Console giants Microsoft and Sony also had a big impact on the sales of the item packs. The endowment also wants to help many veterans find jobs this year. According to Mike Lavigne, a member of Call of Duty Endowment, soldiers are an essential part of the workforce and part of their community.
