The countdown has begun! In one month Horizon Forbidden West will be released for the PlayStation. So it’s finally time to get down to the plot of the upcoming action adventure. With that in mind, PlayStation released the story trailer yesterday. In addition, Guerilla shared new artwork for the game.

A new kind of depravity is spreading. Not only machines are affected, but also the environment suffers. Sooner or later, humanity is in danger of starvation. In the midst of this tragic situation, our courageous protagonist Aloy sets out in search of answers – in the Forbidden West. But she is not alone in this dangerous mission. Two old friends support her on this journey: Varl of the Nora and Erend of the Oseram. The trio is completed by some new friends, like Kotallo of the Tenakth.

On the enemy side we find the already introduced Regalla with her rebels. But they are not the only ones we have to worry about in Horizon Forbidden West. For the shady Sylens has sided with the rebels and is equipping them with knowledge about the machines. Since we saw at the end of the last part how he took Hades in, we can assume that he will also play a decisive role. Completing this line of enemies is Hekarro, the leader of the Tenakth.

A still unknown role is played by the mysterious Tilda, who seems to have a special relationship with the Old Ones. We can find out what exactly she is up to on 18 February, when Horizon Forbidden West is finally available. You can find out more about the trailer at (PlayStation Blog).
