The entire Crysis trilogy is being released as a remaster. Comparison videos show how big the differences are to the aged originals.
Long no longer a secret, but now with a concrete date: The remake of the complete Crysis trilogy will be released on PC and last- and current-gen PlayStation and Xbox on October 15, 2021. This is also the first-ever release of Parts 2 and 3 as remasters. Interested parties can buy the complete package in digital form from the Epic Store, the Playstation Store and the Microsoft Store.
Self-explanatory, but for the sake of completeness: The Crysis Remastered Trilogy contains all three remasters of Crytek’s successful shooter series. The price is 50 euros. Those who prefer to buy the titles individually must spend 30 euros each. The games are only available individually for Nintendo Switch.

So that customers don’t have to buy the Crykatze in a bag, the developers show two comparison videos. You can see the remaster versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X in direct comparison with the originals on PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

Both comparisons show that the remasters have made significant improvements to the graphics. Especially the higher resolution, improved lighting effects and sharper textures catch the eye. But also ray tracing reflections were logically not yet available on the old Playsi. Crytek also promises a frame rate of 60 FPS on PC, Xbox Series and PS5.
Whether the Crysis makeover is enough to make you want to relive the three classics is up to each gamer to decide. After all, strong shooter alternatives are anything but scarce on the market, one of the best of which even comes from Crytek itself:
