A tweet on the official League of Legends page shows a familiar face wearing the PROJECT look. But what do we know about the PROJECT event so far?
A tweet confirms the next skin lineup in LoL!
“A new threat has been detected!” Those are the words to the silhouette of Mordekaiser in the PROJECT look.
In the teaser, two hands reach for a gigantic weapon. Fans initially suspected that it was Aatrox, another top lane champion. However, since the leak of the splash art, it’s clear that we’re dealing with PROJECT Mordekaiser.

Usually the skins that appear in such teaser videos are also Legendary skins, as was the case with PROJECT Pyke back in the day. So we can also assume here that it is a Legendary class skin for Mordekaiser. And that would mean additional animations and a newly voiced voice.
PROJECT is one of the most popular League of Legends skin themes. 17 skins have been released so far, including some for champions like Jinx, Yasuo or Lucian. The previous PROJECT events were also well received by the community.
With the upcoming skin series and a leak of the new PROJECT soundtrack, we are eagerly awaiting the event.
Leak of more PROJECT skins
Last week there was already a leak to another skin from the PROJECT series. The leak was also posted by Riot, but immediately deleted again. You could see a list of nine different skins for Varus including a picture of PROJECT Varus, which was not known before.
Finally, we speculate on another champion that we will probably see with PROJECT clothing.
In a post by Riot Games on the official League of Legends website, the champions that will get a Prestige skin in 2021 were announced. These are skins that in addition to a normal version, will also get a gold-plated variant.
The next champion in this list is Sylas. Space Groove Lulu, which was listed before that and came to the live servers a few patches ago in 11.7. This is supposed to be followed by a prestige skin for Sylas. We therefore assume that this is PROJECT Sylas.
On the other hand, this could also be a hint to a prestige skin for the already released PROJECT Zed. On the same page there is a list of upcoming prestige skins which can be purchased with prestige points and among them there is also a prestige skin for an already released skin for Zed.
