There is first information about new champions in League of Legends and the long-awaited rework of Skarner!
League of Legends is known for their new and innovative champions as well as reworking champions that just can’t hold their own in the meta with their current kit.
That’s why we have the latest information on two tapped champions and the desired rework of our favourite scorpion “Skarner”. Because the development team of Riot Games has summarized on the official (YouTube channel) an update on upcoming innovations in LoL.
When is the Skarner rework coming now?
It is not yet clear when the reworked Scorpion will appear on the live servers. However, the first images of its abilities and new look have already been released.
The design looks promising and shows us its new theme. A scorpion from the depths of Shurima using earth magic. With its three spines and immensely large claws, it has been given a new menacing and handsome look.
Head Game Designer Jacob “Riot Llama” Crouch has also highlighted his ultimate ability. “Impaling” has given Skarner his special status in the League of Legends roster and made him a unique champion. This aspect will naturally be maintained in his future kit.
The rework is still in the works and what exactly the end result will look like remains to be seen. But we are visibly excited to see how the Scorpion will prove itself in Summoners Rift in the future.
New ADC and solo laner on the cards!
In addition to Skarner, info on two new champions has also been released. These are to be an ADC and a solo laner.
After rather easy-to-play champions like Naafiri, Briar or Milio joined the League of Legends roster recently, “Hwei” is now supposed to bring players a more complex champion design again and thus a new challenge. So are we getting a new ADC in the form of an Aphelios? We’ll be surprised.
Isa Mari “Riot orkidian” De Leon, the writer of Hwei’s story, also said that exploring Hwei’s past has been an emotional experience and that art requires a certain amount of empathy.
In addition, we have received a first teaser image, which should now stimulate the imagination of players as to what direction the appearance of the new champion might take.
There are no pictures and little information about the new Solo Laner so far.
But we already know a few things: The champion is said to be female and a Vastayan and to reside in the forests of Freljord. She also seems to have a passion for travelling and exploring. She also has abilities based on natural magic.
