League of Legends has a new world champion. At the Worlds 2020 in Shanghai, DAMWON won 3:1.

Opponent Suning had little to oppose the Koreans in the final. DAMWON took the lead on the first map before Suning equalized.

But with the third game the strength of the Koreans took over. With this triumph, the lineup consisting of Nuguri, Canyon, ShowMaker, Ghost and BeryL secured a total of 25 percent of the currently unquantified prize money.

Jungler Canyon has also been named MVP of the final event.

DAMWON thus inherits the FPX team from China, which beat G2 3-0 in the final last year. Since 2017, the title has been awarded to a team from the Korean LCK. At that time Samsung Galaxy won the final against SK T1.

The event was played offline without spectators.
