Microsoft apparently couldn’t resist a little Twitter jibe at Sony after numerous games were shown at the PlayStation Showcase.

Sony fired off quite a few things at the much-anticipated May showcase. Nevertheless, many fans and industry insiders on (Twitter) are somewhat disappointed about the lack of new exclusive titles. Only one studio seems to be really happy about it: Microsoft dares to take a small side blow against the big competitor.

Trollpost on Twitter

Directly after the PlayStation Showcase ended, the official Xbox Twitter account sent off the following message:

What a good looking bunch

In the post you can see all the games that were shown at the Sony event, but will also be released for Xbox and partly PC . Also included are these exciting multiplatform titles:

  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2
  • Marathon

In the comments under the Microsoft tweet, other studios are speaking up with a wink, including Ubisoft, inXile entertainment (Wasteland 3) and esports TV channel Ginx Canada. In fact, Spider-Man 2. is the only really big exclusive title that Sony showed. It was accompanied by extensive gameplay.

Missed the live stream? No problem!

Other exclusives that many fans had hoped for, such as the long-announced Last of Us multiplayer or news from first-party developer studio Santa Monica (God of War), were not on show this time. But the summer of games in 2023 is only just beginning, so we can be sure that many more exciting reveals await us.

And Microsoft will soon have the chance to impress us even more with its own Xbox Direct showcase and the subsequent Starfield Direct on 11 June 2023. Will Sony also fire back via Twitter then?
