It is not known whether this update will continue the series of so-called Moment Updates updates. What is certain is that this update will make minor changes to the system, as was the case with the first Moment update.

Microsoft has released one Moment Update in 2024&nbsp. No others are planned for 2024. Moment Update 5 contains the following improvements, among others:

Windows 11 version 24H2 will make major changes. The following changes are already confirmed:

Windows in 2025 Every year, Microsoft releases a major update for Windows 11. These feature updates often make major changes to the operating system. The Moment updates in question, on the other hand, only make minor changes. The leak gives an indication that Microsoft could continue this approach in 2025.

It is certain that another major update is due at the end of 2025. In addition to a regular feature update for Windows 11, which will probably be version 25H2, Microsoft could also release Windows 12.

Speculation: Whether the name of the possible Windows 11 successor is really Windows 12 remains to be seen.
