A playful storybook awaits us in the Epic Games Store next week. Windbound combines a narrative, story-focused game with a great animation style and survival elements. From 10 February 2022, you can add the title to your account in the Epic Games Store and keep it permanently. Until then, you can also get the adventure platformer Yooka-Laylee
An original story and great gameplay mechanics await you in Windbound
Windbound is more than just an ordinary indie title. As the warrior Kara, we survive a violent storm on the high seas and from then on, alone and separated from our tribe, we have to stand our ground on a mysterious island against the magical flora and fauna that prevail there. It is a personal adventure and a beautiful story in video game form.
We have to find food, upgrade our shelter, defend ourselves against wildlife and explore the mysterious island. There is also not only the mystery behind the island to uncover, but also more about your own past. Was your arrival on the deserted island no coincidence after all? And is your path to freedom hidden in the old ruins?
With Windbound 2020, the developers from 5 Lives Studios were able to create a real pearl among the survival indie games, which has gathered a dedicated fan community behind it to this day. The genre mix of combat, exploration, survival and puzzles is perfect for the quiet hours of winter, because the story is far removed from the AAA uniformity of the big open-world titles. Between 10 and 17 February 2022 you have the chance to get Windbound in the Epic Games Store. As always, this will be followed by a new free game, which we will introduce to you here as usual.
