It’s one of those things with leaks and rumours. You can never be sure what’s true, but sometimes one turns out to be true. How it will look with the hotly anticipated God of War Ragnarok remains to be seen. Because a release date for the next PS5 hit has surfaced at the first internet retailer.

Will we see the finale of the Nordic Kratos saga as early as this summer?

On its shop page, the Chilean retailer Juegos Digitales lists June 2022 as the release date for God of War Ragnarok. Does the retailer have exclusive information from Playstation or is it just pure speculation. Of course, this is not confirmed information and a statement or official release announcement from Sony is still missing. It could also be a placeholder date, which internet retailers like Amazon and Co. like to list for new games and products that are then the subject of much heated discussion. However, it could still be a first indication of the possible release of the second new God of War part from Santa Monica Studios.

Same with the info from Jason Schreier, who, based on other sources, previously predicted September 30, 2022 as the release date for God of War Ragnarok. More recently, also on Bloomberg, he predicted that no new Call of Duty from Activision was planned for 2023. Hopefully, at a State of Play by Playstation in the future, we should learn more about when we can once again plunge into Nordic adventures with our favourite god of war and his son-man. Until then, there is nothing else to do but wait and not always believe such leaks and rumours. But you can always keep them in mind. Holiday planning and all that.
