The Blood of Dawnwalker unveils a new trailer during Xbox Showcase 2025, revealing a little bit about the open-world vampire story.
It’s going to be bloody, it’s going to be dark, it’s going to be unusual. The Blood of Dawnwalker has a new trailer, and the game from the former Witcher 3 developers reveals some new info and first gameplay footage. It was all unveiled during Xbox Showcase 2025.
What’s the vampire game about?
Unsurprisingly, we take on the role of a bloodsucker – but it won’t be a classic vampire who fears sunlight and is allergic to garlic.
We play an eponymous Dawnwalker, obviously a kind of half-vampire. Something apparently went wrong during the transformation process. He fights his long-toothed relatives who want to conquer the medieval world.
There is already some gameplay footage available, showing that the main character not only fights with claws and fangs, but is also skilled in sword fighting.
However, the approach in Blood of Dawnwalker is unusual. You can kill important characters at any time and thus change the story. In addition, although you can explore an open world, the game gives you a time limit.
We’ll have to wait a little longer to see how all this plays out.Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled for release in 2026, but an exact release date has not yet been announced. The title will be available on Xbox consoles and PC.
