The Basilisk is back in Warzone 2 and once again turns us into real gunslingers. We’ve got the best loadout for you

The Basilisk is probably one of those weapons that no one expected to see in the Warzone 2 meta anytime soon. Season 4 Reloaded, however, has turned melee combat in Battle Royale on its head, surprisingly catapulting weapons like the X13 Auto or Cronen Squall to the upper echelons of popularity alongside the Basilisk.

Melee Monsters

The Basilisk is back and once again spreads fear and terror in close combat. Already at the beginning of the year, the Snakeshot meta ensured that we briefly mutated into a gunslinger in Battle Royale and took down our opponents in true Wild West style with a few well-aimed shots from the hip.

The adjusted damage profiles in Season 4 Reloaded have seen the Basilisk’s pick rate jump from a former 0.2% to 10.2% making the weapon almost unbeatable in close combat.

The strength of the setup lies in the special .500 Snakeshot ammunition, which turns the weapon into a mini shotgun. The Basilisk shoots a total of eight pellets with one shot, making the pistol a nightmare for your opponents in the Akimbo variant.

The developers already reacted and locked both the X13 Auto and the Basilisk in Warzone 2’s Ranked mode with the July 20 update.

This is how you should play the Basilisk:

  • Run: 10.5″ FTAC Arrow (⇑+0.32, ⇒+0.40)
  • Laser: REVO-LSD 7mW (⇓-0.14,⇔.0.00)
  • Handle: Akimbo Basilisk
  • Ammunition: .500 Snakeshot (⇑+0.70, ⇐-9.00)
  • Trigger: Bryson HTA (⇑+0.18, ⇐-0.10)

The barrel 10.5″ FTAC Arrow provides more range, accuracy from the hip and movement speed in our setup. The REVO-LSD 7mW laser ensures that like a true cowboy, we don’t have to waste time aiming, but instead take out our opponents straight from the hip.

The Akimbo variant and 500 Snakeshot ammunition is the heart of the whole thing and gives the loadout its power. Finally, the Bryson HTA trigger provides a better rate of fire
