The Game Awards will be presented during the night of December 12th to 13th, and in addition to some announced trailers, a few surprises can also be expected at the event.

At least according to the industry insider, big things are planned for the awards ceremony. In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, which you can watch in the following YouTube video, Schreier makes allusions to the awards show, which he introduces with the words: “What can I say without getting in trouble?”
The introduction already suggests that Schreier is not going to be particularly specific. He reveals: “There are at least two things that will make you say, ‘Holy sh***, I can’t believe this thing is here!’ At least two things, I can say.”
Schreier does not explain which two announcements are involved, but he says shortly before:
I know of a few announcements that will be shown there, and they can definitely be described as big announcements. However, the big announcements are for games that won’t come out for a few years. So I think it’s quite possible to see a teaser trailer or two for a game that comes out in 2026 or even later.

Schreier’s statements were quickly picked up on Reddit, but the journalist explained his statements in the comments.So the description of the reaction to the announcements was specifically related to the crew of Kinda Funny Games.
When asked by a user whether he should still be hyped, he explains to : “It depends! I think these games will excite a lot of people, but they’re still years away.”
However, he rules out at least one game, because when a player guesses that it is a remaster of Bloodborne, he reacts with a “It is not.”
