The developers at Dontnod can also create cinematic adventure games apart from Life is Strange. Twin Mirror is therefore not a coming-of-age drama with superpowers, but a typical mystery thriller. In the role of the investigative reporter Sam, we return to his hometown of Basswood and are on a quest for our own memories. Like Sherlock Holmes, Sam can make use of a mental technique called Mind palace, in which we as players then link information together and witness awakened memories.

Twin Mirror was actually released on 1 December 2020 – but exclusively on the Epic Games Store at the time. The new trailer now announces the premiere on Steam. Where, by the way, there is also a (free demo), if you want to get an idea of it first.
