GTA 6 is still months away from release, but fans are already diving deep into the game world. Now someone has built Vice City—in Cities: Skylines 2.
We still have to wait over three months before weGTA 6finally get our hands on it after years of waiting and several delays. But for those who just can’t wait any longer, there’s already a chance to take a closer look at the game world—specifically inCities: Skylines 2. A dedicated fan hasrecreated the world as accurately as possible.
145 Hours of Work
On YouTube, noasdenhas uploaded several videos about his project, which took a total of 145 hoursover several weeks, as hereported on Reddit. The result is massive: a huge, detailed recreation of the entire GTA 6 game world, which is likely very close to what Rockstar will release in November:
But how can noasden know so precisely what the GTA 6 game world will look like? This is only possible thanks to an elaborate fan project that serves as the basis for their recreation: Using images and information from leaks and official trailers, a group of players has already created a map. They carefully analyzed the individual images and determined the positions of buildings, road layouts, and everything else using triangulation.
While there are still some inaccuracies and gaps, after 10,000 hours of work on the project, the fans already have an idea of what the game world of GTA 6 will look like.
But now back to noasden’s map in Cities: Skylines 2. You can admire it not only on YouTube, but also on your own PC! It’s available as amod for the city-building gameor as a save file that you can load and play yourself. According to the creator, the recreated Vice City is fully functional, although there are issues with unemployment and traffic jams. But that fits well with the rough-and-tumble atmosphere the city will have in GTA 6 as well.
To play in Vice City, however, you’ll need the base game plus several expansions and a handful of other mods, which you can check out on the page linked above.
