A morbid bluffing game is a huge success and delights thousands on Steam. Here are this week’s bestsellers.

Steam has a new indie darling: Liar’s Bar from Turkish animation studio Curve Animation. The game is all about bluffing and lying. Those who lose have to fear fatal consequences.

Disclaimer: In the following, we list the ten best-selling games on Steam in the past week and discuss relevant developments. The basic information is based on data from SteamDB and is read directly from Steam.

Highlights first:

  • Liar’s Bar
  • The complete Steam Top 10

Liar’s Bar

Lovingly animated mythical creatures, a seedy bar, a dark twist: Liar’s Bar is making quite a splash on Steam, with over 100,000 concurrent players.

You take on the role of a werewolf and have to play for your life in the Liars’ Bar. When playing dice or cards, your luck is less important than your skill at bluffing successfully.

The player who loses or is caught lying has to play Russian roulette or drink poison and is out of the game. So be warned: the game features self-harm behavior.

The complete top 10 on Steam

  1. Counter-Strike 2
  2. Throne and Liberty
  3. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
  4. Steam Deck
  5. PUBG
  6. Liar’s Bar
  7. EA Sports FC 25
  8. DayZ
  9. Dota 2
  10. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Also noteworthy: Survival-Uropa DayZ comes back into the top ten highest-grossing Steam games of the week thanks to the new DLC Frostline, but has to deal with mixed fan reactions. And the new Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero remains in the top 3 for the third week in a row and has become a real fan favorite on Steam with over 90 percent approval.

Now it’s your turn: Are you playing Liar’s Bar yourself? How do you like the game? Or are you back in DayZ and want to leave your opinion about the new DLC? Feel free to write it in the comments! We always love to read your opinions, comments, and experiences.
