Owlcat Games presents a new video for its upcoming action RPG. The blend of a cinematic story and battles against genetically engineered monsters is set to release in spring 2027.
At gamescom, Owlcat Games unveiled a brand-new trailer for its upcoming action RPG, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
This new video shows you a mid-game mission on Ganymede—more specifically, a botched infiltration mission, a new acquaintance, and an encounter with a hybrid.
Infiltration on Ganymede: Combat System and Storytelling in Action
On Ganymede, you must sneak into an enemy base to destroy stolen data. At first, the mission goes smoothly, but it doesn’t take long for the situation to spiral out of control.
Meanwhile, you’ll see the various aspects of the game in action: the cinematic storytelling, the action-packed combat system, exploration, and the dialogue system.
Chaos at the Protogen Base and a Spring 2027 Release
“The Captain and her sister J must sneak into a secret Protogen base to retrieve their personal data, which was stolen from them on Pinkwater IV,” the description reads. “The entire team is working together to assist them with technical support and moral encouragement.”
“At first, it looks as though everything is going according to plan: The players explore the base in disguise, encounter Protogen employees, and try to sneak into the warehouse where their data is stored. However, when a third party shows up and unleashes a genetically modified monstrosity onto the base, the siblings are forced to improvise to make it back to the surface alive.”
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is in development for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, with a release scheduled for spring 2027.
