This week, Epic is giving away two games for free – including a thrilling survival-building game from Paradox

As every Thursday, there’s another free game waiting for you in the Epic Games Store. On offer this time: A building game from Paradox with an exciting setting.

Surviving the Aftermath

Genre: Building game – Developer: Iceflake Studios – Get & keep for free until: November 23, 2023 (to play at Epic)

This week you can expect a post-apocalyptic strategy game developed by Paradox Interactive and the Finnish Iceflake Studios. In Surviving the Aftermath the world lies in ruins after a meteor shower – and you have to rebuild it.

You start with a handful of settlers and some basic resources to build your first huts and tents. Sounds simple at first, but later becomes very complex: over 130 different buildings need to be built in your colony. What’s more, natural and environmental disasters can quickly cause an unprepared settlement to fail.

Surviving the Aftermath also offers a dynamic, procedurally generated world outside your colony that is waiting to be explored. Here you will encounter rival colonies with whom you can trade or compete.

  • Earthlock (to the game at Epic): In addition to the Paradox building game, this week you also get a role-playing game inspired by 90s JRPGs like Final Fantasy 7. With a group of disparate heroes, you must – of course – save the world.

We know: GlobalESportNews readers like building games, especially from Paradox. So are you happy about the Epic gift of the week? Or do you like the free JRPG Earthlock even better? Let us know in the comments!
