Doomsday is getting closer, but this time in fast-paced 2D action! On September 5, 2025, Terminator 2D: No Fate, an officially licensed side-scrolling action game from Reef Entertainment and Bitmap Bureau, will be released. Fans of classic arcade games, pixel art and the cult film “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” can expect an adrenaline-filled adventure with an authentic retro aesthetic. But that’s not all…

The story: between past and future

In Terminator 2D: No Fate, you take control of Sarah Connor, John Connor and the T-800 to thwart Skynet’s sinister plans. The story combines well-known movie moments with brand new missions and offers multiple endings.

While Sarah and the T-800 fight the T-1000 in the present and try to prevent Judgment Day, John Connor fights at the forefront of Skynet’s army in future missions. The combination of scenes from the movie and new challenges makes the game a real love letter to the Terminator universe.

Arcade action at its best

Bitmap Bureau is known for its precise controls and crisp retro games – and the studio delivers here too. Terminator 2D: No Fate features detailed pixel graphics, action-packed gameplay and a gameplay feel reminiscent of classics like Contra and Metal Slug.

  • Three playable characters with unique abilities:

    • T-800: slow but resilient with heavy weaponry
    • Sarah Connor: agile and deadly in close combat
    • John Connor: specialized for tactical fights in the future

  • Intense boss fights, including the dreaded T-1000
  • Multiple game modes: Story, Arcade, Endless, and Boss Rush modes
  • Dynamic levels, inspired by the movie’s greatest moments
  • Authentic soundtrack, based on the iconic “Terminator 2” score

A must-have for retro fans and Terminator lovers

Developed by Bitmap Bureau, the creators of Xeno Crisis, Terminator 2D: No Fate follows a clear path: a modern homage to classic 90s arcade games.

The studio has made it its mission to authentically transform the film into a side-scrolling action experience – with fluid animations, huge sprites and iconic moments such as Arnie’s legendary bar scene or the nerve-wracking truck chase.

The community is thrilled – and rightly so! Collectors are also taken care of, with the physical Collector’s Editions , which contain exclusive extras such as steelbooks, posters and an art book.

Conclusion: No Fate But What We Make!

With Terminator 2D: No Fate, we can expect a nostalgic yet modern arcade hit that perfectly captures the spirit of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”. Bitmap Bureau combines breathtaking pixel graphics with fast-paced action, creating a gaming experience that should delight both fans of the 90s and newcomers.

Will you stop Skynet or go down with it? Decide for yourself – from September 5!
