As he announced in a video message and in text form they are currently working with Illumantion on the sequel to the Super Mario Bros. movie. A release is already planned for April 3, 2026 in the USA and other countries and territories. As the first part was released at the same time in the USA and Germany, we could also look forward to a correspondingly early cinema release for part 2.
