Many fans of Hunt are eagerly awaiting the 2025 roadmap. But Crytek’s initial focus is on “critical issues”.

At Hunt: Showdown, the mood in the community is not exactly great.Since the big 1896 update in August 2024, complaints and negative reviews have been piling up This is not so much due to the new content – the new map has been showered with praise – but mainly to technical problems.

Bugs, crashes, performance issues and, above all, the grotesquely improved-for-worse game menu caused frustration, which is now clearly visible in the Steam ratings.

Recently, even the overall rating for the last 30 days with only 44 percent positive votesfell into the yellow “Balanced” area (the overall rating is still “mostly positive”).

Now Crytek is reacting with a plan.

New content? Suspended for now!

In an official update post , developer Crytek admits that while a service title like Hunt needs a roadmap with a view to new content, the priority at the moment is to fix the technical issues.

Therefore, a plan has been set in motion: the first two major updates in 2025 will therefore deal exclusively with bug fixes, UI improvements, and customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, it says:

We are putting a lot of effort into improving stability and performance, eliminating long-standing bugs and improving the interface […] and these things will take precedence over new weapons, new mechanics and events at the start of the new year.

Roadmap 2025 is coming

Recently, Hunt had significantly increased the frequency of events and added a lot of content with the Hellborn Monster, several Battle Passes and a new open world.

It sounds like this phase is now over for the time being – in favor of extensive repair work.

At the same time, many players are wondering what new content is planned for 2025. For example, persistent rumors about a new end boss have been circulating for several months. Crytek itself had promised new weather effects and mechanics.

Now, however, Hunt fans will have to exercise patience: Crytek promises to definitely still want to publish a roadmap for 2025. For now, however, this will focus on stabilizing Hunt.
