A new Starfield update is here: Patch highlight is the FOV slider, but also Intel GPU users can be extra happy. We have the patch notes for you.

The new patch with the long number 1.7.36 for Starfield is here. With this update Bethesda fulfils one of their promises from the roadmap: You can now easily adjust the FOV slider. We summarise the most important changes for you, you can find the patch notes at the bottom of the article.

What’s in the update 1.7.36 for Starfield?

(Update1.7.36) is a small patch, but it fulfils a wish of many players who want to adjust their view of the world in Bethesda’s space-and-planet adventure:

You can now change the field of view, or FOV, in both third-person and first-person views in the settings menu.

Here are the (very short) patch notes:

  • FOV sliders are now adjustable in the main menu.
  • General performance and stability have been improved.
  • Stability of the client with Intel Arc GPUs has been improved.
  • In the quest Echoes of the Past a bug that could stop progress in the quest is now a thing of the past. This had to do with the creatures that appear there.

What do you say to the new mini update for Starfield? Is Bethesda patching at an acceptable pace or do you see a need for a little – or even more – extra push on the development engines? What should definitely be addressed in the next major update? Is it the technology, which is still lacking, or should new content be added as soon as possible? Or do we simply need the latest creation kit? Feel free to write us your thoughts in the comments!
