Will there finally be a Starfield showcase with a final release date on April 21, 2023? Nope, Bethesda trolled us

Assumably Starfield will be released in June 2023. The emphasis is on assumably, because the release of the scifi role-playing game has not been officially confirmed at this point in time. That”s why Bethesda fans are hoping that there will finally be news soon – and preferably in the form of a dedicated Starfield Showcase.

When will a Starfield showcase potentially take place? Also a damn good question that can”t be answered at this point. To make matters worse, Bethesda didn”t miss the opportunity to rub salt in the wound.

But no announcement of Starfield news …

On Twitter, Bethesda”s official account, along with the Swedish Xbox account teased something for April 21, 2023. With that, fans naturally felt invited to speculate happily: Is there news about the co-op shooter with vampires called Redfall? Or will Starfield finally be highlighted in detail and a release date revealed?

Nearly two hours later, Bethesda then cleared up the confusion and caused disappointment at the same time. There was no reveal of Starfield or Redfall being teased but a joint Xbox/Bethesda collaboration for the upcoming Elle Gala – a fashion event.

The only question is whether the Bethesda account was so quick to clear up the confusion after the previous tweet to do damage control or was trolling its fans from the start. Looking at the numerous responses to the rather sobering reactions, we”re almost guessing both.

The most important info on Starfield

Bethesda”s next big role-playing game after The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4 is scheduled for release sometime in 2023. Officially, we don”t know a concrete release date at the moment. However, a well-known journalist has found out that it could be on 29 June.

Have you also been misled by the official Starfield account on Twitter? What do you think of the action? More importantly, what are your hopes and expectations for Bethesda”s next big RPG? Would you prefer The Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5? Let us know in the comments!
