The RX 9060 XT is the next AMD graphics card to hit the shelves – and will likely come in two memory flavors.

After the RX 9070 is before the RX 9060: Last week, the long-awaited AMD graphics cards finally went on sale, with both light and shadow.

While the test of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT raised hopes for a strong price-performance ratio at the MSRP, the scalping problem can be observed (once again) despite the presumably larger range of GPUs.

Undeterred, the manufacturer is planning the next models based on the RDNA-4 architecture. On the sidelines of the presentation of the RX 9070 (XT), AMD briefly mentioned the Radeon RX 9060 and the corresponding XT version, which are next in line. The portal Videocardz now wants to learn some details about the latter GPU.

  • Consequently, the RX 9060 XT will appear in two configurations, which differ in memory size. You should have the choice between 8 and 16 GB VRAM.
  • This information should correspond to a previous leak, which named the first custom models from Asus with corresponding variants.

The RX 9060 XT uses a 128-bit interface for memory access in both versions; the memory type and speed should remain the same as for the RX 9070 XT, at GDDR6 and 20 Gbps. In addition, Videocardz also wants to know more about the power consumption:

    • The RX 9060 XT therefore relies on a single, classic 8-pin connector.
    • The report does not mention an exact TDP, but at least a 500-watt power supply is required. Individual custom models can increase this value up to 550 watts.

In terms of display connections, the RX 9060 XT is said to have one HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 2.1a outputs. From this, Videocardz deduces that not Navi 48, but (as previously speculated) Navi 44 is used as the chip – “smaller chips ultimately have limitations in connectivity”.

At least the presumed full configuration of this Navi 44 chip has been leaked so far, which provides for a “half Navi 48”. This results in 2,048 stream processors with 64 ROPs (Render Output Units) and 32 ray tracing units. However, partial deactivation is conceivable here, so at least the regular RX 9060 can expect less.
