Remnant: From The Ashes thrilled Soulslike and co-op fans. The sequel Remnant 2 will be released as early as July 2023, it has now been announced.

You like beating up monsters, looking for challenges and playing in a team? Then there might be good news for you. Because the dark third-person shooter Remnant 2 will be released on 25 July 2023 for the PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS 5. To announce the release date, there is also a trailer that shows us new co-op gameplay.

Failure is not an option

In the universe of Remnant, humanity is on the brink of extinction. In 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes, after a malevolent force from another dimension overran the Earth, the last humans lived in underground bunkers. In the fight against the so-called Seed, we once again travel to various worlds in Remnant 2, in which numerous enemies and boss monsters await us.

We can travel alone or join the battle with friends. Little by little, we collect powerful weapons and equipment and modify them to become even stronger. Because failure is not an option in the fight for our survival:

As we see in the new trailer, in Remnant 2 we explore previously unknown worlds and encounter completely new enemies. For solo players, there is also a welcome innovation: you will be accompanied through the nightmarish dimensions by your faithful dog, who will not only offer you moral support, but will also be a valuable aid in battle.

What do you think of Remnant 2? Are you excited that there will soon be a sequel to From The Ashes? Or did you not have the first Remnant on your radar until now, but are now curious? Which newly announced games from the Summer Game Fest still have you excited? Feel free to post them in the comments!
