Thanks to new sensor technology, this compact, credit-card-sized gamepad puts an end to annoying stick drift and is now available for around 110 euros.
Razer continues to expand its line of controllers for mobile gaming and has unveiled its latest product, the Prio.
As a foldable controller, the Prio is designed with portability in mind and takes up significantly less space when folded than, for example, the Kishi.
“With the Razer Prio, we wanted to finally eliminate the trade-off between portability and precision,” explains Travis Furst, Head of AI Hardware and Console Division at Razer. “It folds down to the size of a credit card. But as soon as you unfold it, it plays like a full-fledged controller. That’s the key detail—no matter where you happen to be sitting.”
Compact Size and Drift Protection: The Technology Behind the Foldable Controller
When folded, the Prio measures 107 mm x 67 mm x 23 mm and weighs 101 grams. When opened, it can accommodate smartphones with a screen size of up to 7 inches—including larger models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
You’ll have a full button layout, low-profile thumbsticks, a tactile 4-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, and triggers at your disposal. For the first time, Razer is using a new technology in the thumbsticks to combat stick drift. The contactless capacitive sensors capture your movements in high resolution—since no mechanical parts rub against each other, nothing wears out.
Direct Connection & Cloud Gaming: Features and Price at Launch
Since you connect the controller to your smartphone via USB-C, neither pairing nor an additional battery is required. It’s also designed to fit “seamlessly over most slim to medium-sized phone cases.”
Compatible with iPhone (iOS 18 and up) and Android (version 14 and up). You can use the controller for local gaming, as well as for Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, PS Remote Play, and Razer PC Remote Play—with just the press of a button, you’ll jump right into Razer Cortex Mobile.
