Volume 4 of the award-winning series is already on its way. Well, really. Because in a month it will be here and that really isn’t long now.

More from the chaotic world of AIs and robots

As Netflix has now officially announced, Season 4 of Love, Death & Robots will be released on May 15, 2025 So in just under five weeks. There’s also a first trailer, and it really does cover everything from loud concerts to fighting robots. But see for yourself:

If you’re thinking, Never heard of it. Here’s a little summary.

In the animated series Love, Death & Robots, each episode tells its own self-contained story. But there are also a few similarities.

All episodes take place either in futuristic utopias, dystopias, alternative realities or in space and, as the title suggests, deal with topics such as violence, love, robots or artificial intelligence. The genres vary, so you’ll experience horror stories, crime stories or comedies, among other things.

The seasons are each realized by many different animation studios, and the idea for the show comes from Tim Miller (Deadpool, Secret Level).

The success of Love, Death & Robots

In the IMDb film database, the series has an 8.4-star rating based on over 212,000 ratings.

Among critics, season 1 scores Rotten Tomatoes77 percent, while viewers give it 92 percent. The sequel reverses the ratings with 81 and 67 percent, while the third season really knocks the critics off their feet with 100 percent. The community is a little less enthusiastic at 87 percent.

Love, Death & Robots has been nominated for a total of 15 Emmys in recent years and has ultimately won 13 of them, including one for outstanding individual achievement in animation in 2022 (via Television Academy).

Incidentally, Tim Miller is also responsible for the Amazon series Secret Level, which follows a similar principle to Love, Death & Robots. In 15 episodes, it tells independent stories from the video game worlds of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Sifu, Armored Core, Mega Man and The Outer Worlds, for example.

The series was a huge success, which is why a second season was ordered shortly after its release in December 2024. If you want to learn more about this, you will find it in the box above.
