PlayStation will be showcasing a number of games in the upcoming showcase. According to insiders, God of War is part of the show.

PlayStation has scheduled this year’s Showcase for next Thursday. In the show, developers will present updates to their games as well as new announcements. According to insiders, exciting reveals could be waiting like a new God of War.

The show, which will last just under an hour, will begin at 10pm and can be watched on Sony’s Twitch and YouTube channel. The organiser itself is keeping a low profile with information. It was only announced that updates from PlayStation Studios and other developers are to follow.  In addition, Sony stated that there will be no information on the next generation of virtual reality technology.

Diving into the world of rumours and insiders, however, the showcase sounds even more exciting.  VGC journalist Andy Robinson confirmed on Twitter that apparently there are more than just small announcements waiting. He was told there are some “super announcements” coming.

Another possible insider under the name Nick also spread the rumour that God of War will be part of the presentation. The still-unnamed sequel to 2018’s hit title God of War was announced last year. Since then, however, Sony has kept a low profile. However, the game has already received several awards as “most anticipated game”.

Further, fans are waiting for more big announcements on top titles like for Horizon Forbidden West, Final Fantasy 16 or even a new GTA.
